Right Side Only

When I lay my head down to sleep each night and close my eyes, I am privy to a most amazing show. For some very strange reason, when I lay my head on it's right side, I begin to see paintings. Not famous paintings as you might think, but rather simple everyday visuals. Things that I am familiar with. My street, the local market, whatever. But I see these scenes in various styles of painting.

I may see a visual of my small town from above and see it in pointillism. Or maybe I might see the local post office from across the street, but it will be in charcoal. What's even more pleasant and bizarre is that these scenes will be in motion.

Mind you, when this happens I haven't even come close to falling asleep. In fact, sometimes I ride it out and get out of bed. I will return a short time later to do it again only to a different style.

I have never told anyone about this and since this blog will never be read, no one will ever know. I'm curious as to why this only happens when I lay my head to the right. I have been in the middle of one of my painting excursions and consciously started turing my head to the left. Once it reaches it's apex and starts to the left, the show is over. Rolling back to the right starts the trip anew.

Life is good, isn't it?
